Do I need an appointment to create a custom blend?
No, but a few things to remember -- we do not do new custom blends 30 minutes before closing and we have limited staff in store, so if it's busy -- you may need to come back and try another time. You are more than welcome to call ahead to get an idea of how busy the store may be but that is always subject to change.
Can we make candles?
Unfortunately, we do not offer custom candles at this time. You are always welcome to create a scent here, purchase the candle supplies from any craft store and get creative at home!
What is the Return Policy?
We will accept a return for refund only if the product is unused and in the original, undamaged packaging. Custom blends and products from the Makes Scents Line are not eligible for a refund. Check our return policy here.
What is a ScentBox?
ScentBox is a monthly subscription we offer that has a mix of full sized and deluxe samples from our product lines for bath, body and home! They also make great gifts for someone special. Check out our ScentBox FAQ here.
Do you do private events?
Yes! Makes Scents hosts after-hours parties in the store. It’s the perfect way for you and your friends to explore all our wonderful products at your leisure. Party-goers may bring their own food & drinks into the store to enjoy during the event.
In some cases, we can bring the party to you! This is subject to staff availability. Because we cannot bring all 200+ fragrances with us, off-site parties will have a limited selection of perfume oils and products.
What is Spark & Tether?
Spark & Tether is a fantastic permanent jewelry business that Makes Scents hosts right in store! They are not affiliated with Makes Scents, you will need to schedule an appointment or come in during their pop-up hours. All Spark & Tether purchases must be paid through their POS.
